Terminamos nuestros recorrido por Malasia visitando la isla de Penang, las plantaciones de té de las Cameron Highlands y Langkawi. Aún quedaba mucho por ver, pero el resto de la costa este quedaría para otra ocasión. El monzón había llegado con fuerza, provocando inundaciones en muchas regiones de Malasia, haciendo imposible acceder a ciertos lugares del país.
Our route through Malaysia was coming to an end. We ate in Penang, drank tea in Cameron Highlands, and rested our feet on Malaysian sand for the last time in Pulau Langkawi. We still had so much to see, but the monsoon had hit hard, creating huge floods in the in the East coast and many other regions. Unfortunately, we will have to leave these places for another occasion.
Tuvimos una gran despedida. Nuestros amigos nos sorprendieron invitándonos a un karaoke malayo. A ellos les encantan los karaokes, pierden la vergüenza, se lanzan a la pista y lo dan todo. No fue fácil hacerse a ello, pero entre ánimos y palmaditas en la espalda, nos unimos al desfase musical.
Hasta otra Malasia, hasta pronto familia…
We had a great last goodbye. Our friends from Kuala Perlis had surprisingly invited us to a karaoke. Malaysians love Karaoke. It's great to see how they leave their shyness in the car, and sing their heart's delight once inside the signing room. It took us a while, but after a few songs, claps and cheers, we joined in on the fun till very late that night. Indeed a night to remember.
