ONE OF THE BEST JOBS IN THE WORLD II

They say I am a survivor. I have lived many monsoons, and have battled many dangerous predators, but one day, I tried to jump too far from the nest, and fell. My mother, who was collecting nuts for dinner that day, could not help me in my time of despair. Luckily, someone found me that day. This person fed me and took care of me, with much attention. If it wasn't for him, I might not have survived.

Today, I am just another member of the dive shop. I am present in every class, but sometimes I wonder off smelling all the corners. Recently I have started climbing the new staff that came a few weeks ago. They both speak a strange language, I don't understand a thing. At least what they say, sounds nice. They must know where the mango grows too, because they bring me some every now and then.

One morning, while everyone was having their coffee, I decided to go for a little walk to stretch my legs. It didn't take time till I started hearing my name being shouted out. JACK JACK JACK! It didn't stop for a solid hour and a half. I seems they can't live without me.

Sometimes I wake up in the morning and find both of the new ones wiggling their fingers on that strange machine that emits lights and movies. Every now and then they look at the ocean for a while, stand up and move to one of the three hammocks that we have in the dive shop. It seems like they're happy. I remember they got excited one day and started running around the place like crazy in search of wood. I thought they loved wood as much as I did, but it seems I was wrong. It looks like they are building some sort of map. Every time I see it, I just want to climb it and bite its edges. The clients look at it a lot. Sometimes they even take pictures with the map right before they leave. They even take pictures of me too, and laugh when they hear my name. Jack Sparrow. I don't know why.
